Day 1
Manali to Jispa
Over Rohtang through the Atal tunnel, down to the Chandra, a night at Jispa to acclimatise.

Day 2
Jispa to Kaza
Kunzum La at 4,550 m, the first prayer flags of Spiti, and Kaza by evening.

Day 3
Key and Kibber
Key monastery in the morning light, Kibber village, the Chicham bridge.

Day 4
The high villages
Langza, Hikkim and Komic: the Buddha, the post office, the highest village with a road.

Day 5
Kaza to Tabo
Down the Spiti to Tabo and its thousand-year-old monastery; a night there.

Day 6
Tabo to Kalpa
Nako lake, the Kinnaur gorge, and Kalpa under the Kinner Kailash.

Kalpa to Shimla
The long road down the Sutlej to Shimla, where the tour ends.
